Open House Recap
On Tuesday, September 10th, we officially welcomed guests to The Orchid during our Open House and it exceeded all expectations! Neighbors, friends, local creatives, Chamber of Commerce members, and curious passersby gathered together, bringing energy and life to the start of this new chapter.
The beautiful workshop tables, handcrafted by Jory Luchsinger, became the centerpiece of the evening. Around them, guests shaped floral-inspired clay pieces, creating the very first works to move through the studio.
Christina, our generous landlord, shared a historic overview of the building, weaving together the past and present. Once home to the Warrenton Planing Mill, the site was a hub for woodworking in town, and its craftsmanship roots continue to influence the spirit of what we’re building today. Guests also had the chance to glimpse the larger vision for the compound: a multi-disciplinary space dedicated to creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
This is only the beginning, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us and supported our very first event. The possibilities ahead feel limitless and we can’t wait to see how things unfold.
