Clay, Calm & Connection ~ A Nature Walk + Pressed Pottery Plate Workshop ~ 5/1

$0.00

May 1 | 4–6 PM at The Orchid

Join us for a special community gathering in partnership with the Mental Health Association of Fauquier County and Fauquier County Parks & Recreation in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month.

Nature and clay both invite us to slow down, reconnect, and return to the present moment. This experience is designed as a gentle pause in your week—a chance to step outside, breathe deeply, and create with intention.

We’ll begin at 4 PM with a guided nature walk and foliage collection led by Gary Rzepecki of Parks & Rec. Together, we’ll explore and gather natural textures and forms that inspire us.

Afterward, we’ll return to the studio for a hands-on pottery workshop led by board certified art therapist Lilla Ohrstrom ATR-BC of Youngblood Art Studio, where you’ll create your own pressed clay piece using the foliage you’ve collected.

This is a free community event with a suggested donation benefiting the Mental Health Association of Fauquier County. Donations can be made in person (cash accepted) or online here:
https://www.fauquier-mha.org/donate

Space is limited, so advanced registration is encouraged. To register, click “Add to Cart” and follow the steps. You can also send an email to orchidcreativesuite@gmail.com.

All finished pieces will be ready for pickup within two weeks.
