Intro to Handbuilding - sessions begin week of 4/12

This 4-week series teaches the basics of hand-building through pinching, coil building, slab-building, textured techniques, glazing and more. Clay, glaze and firing is included.

Join us for a 4-week Handbuilding Series at The Orchid, designed for beginners and those looking to reconnect with clay. In this foundational course, students will explore the core techniques of handbuilding through pinching, coiling, and slab construction while creating functional and decorative ceramic pieces.

Classes will be offered in two sessions:

• Sundays from 4–6pm (beginning April 12)
• Fridays from 12–2pm (beginning April 17)

All materials are included, with clay, glazing, and kiln firings provided. Come slow down, get your hands in the clay, and experience the joy of making in a welcoming, creative environment.
