This 6-week series teaches the basics of hand-building through pinching, coil building, slab-building, textured techniques, glazing and more. Clay, glaze and firing is included.

Join us for a 6-week Handbuilding Series at The Orchid, designed for beginners and those looking to reconnect with clay. In this foundational course, students will explore the core techniques of handbuilding through pinching, coiling, and slab construction while creating functional and decorative ceramic pieces.

Choose Sundays from 4pm-6pm or Wednesdays from 6pm-8pm:

Sundays from 4pm-6pm (11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/22, 11/29, 12/6)
Wednesdays from 6pm-8pm (11/4, 11/11, 11/18, 11/25, 12/2, 12/9)

Makeup sessions available the week of 12/13

All materials are included, with clay, glazing, and kiln firings provided. Come slow down, get your hands in the clay, and experience the joy of making in a welcoming, creative environment.
